Gamla Stan

Stockholm Sweden

Thought to have been founded in 1250 as a lock to protect the Lake Malaren region, Gamla Stan was considered a slum until enjoying a renaissance over the last 50 years or so. Here, we are looking up Goran Halsinges Grand at the oldest church in Stockholm, Storkyrkan. We found the shot in the early afternoon and waited for about 10 hours for it to get dark enough to make the image. 7236
